They are non venomous snakes found in the tropics. Some can grow very large and long. The longest snake in the world is a python, the reticulated python of Asia. Shares knowledge of Biodiversity (vertebrates), especially of Africa with specific examples from field data collection from Ghana, West Africa. In Ghana and indeed West Africa, animals are killed a lot, mainly for food, but most are killed for no justifiable reasons. Snakes and other reptiles in particular are killed on sight due to negative perceptions and fear, locals have about them. This blog intends to educate people about vertebrates of West Africa and help conserve them.
